I’ve loved art ever since I was a child. Paying attention to the visual details of the world is a natural state for me. Art has always felt like a way to express myself, enjoy myself and be seen. There is beauty all around us and I love to capture the way I see things, hear and feel them. And now is the time to share that.
I’ve studied media and marketing for the past years thinking: what will I do when I graduate? I thought that my dream of doing art would be something I have to save for when I retire and have my career life behind me. But what career life? Why would I wait and not at least try to create a career life by doing what I love? So that is what Art by Sofia Malkamäki is about for me.
What Art by Sofia Malkamäki can be for you? It is my one girl visionary art startup focused on making art accessible to individuals with different budgets. I wan’t to create everyone an opportunity to enjoy art in their lives. I do this by selling my handmade works as prints with different vibes and easy accessibility. So that more and more people could buy self-made paintings.
I love to use tote bags so I also wanted to create them, so you can even wear my art and enjoy it outside of your home.
