“…before creating this piece, I was inspired by Gothic modern art and Hokusai. My intention was to bring my energy and his together on the large canvas that would soon stand in his living room. As I painted, I began to realize that this same living room would one day be mine as well. As an artist, this raised the stakes—this was a piece I would have to look at every day. We spoke often about duality, about how it exists within us. Nothing inspires like love.”

”…during this project I ventured into the realm of abstarct creativity like never before. Melding shades of ocean blue, pink, and orange together in an intricate dance upon the canvas. I started it by painting a woman in a booty pose, and that energy remains somehow, even though now the woman is hidden under the layers. The piece was such a playful thing to do.”
